Default Company of Heroes - steam special

I never played any of the CoH games at all.

I see steam is having a special all the games for $9.99 or first one for $1.99

How are these games what are they like and can be compared to?

Thinking of buying it possibly.

a lot of people think its the best rts of all time. I loved the base game. They are extremely well polished, have great graphics, one of the first games with dx10, and have a cover system for your troops. + ww2 rts is pretty sweet. Definitely get at least the base game for 1.99 haha

No it's more like Starcraft but less base building and less unit types. It's more about managing squads and flanking, charging tanks with sticky bombs, fortifying buildings with snipers, and having fun with flamethrower tanks and such. It's a really good game and the learning curve isn't intimidating at all.

Yea just got my ud5h in the mail yesterday. Spent the afternoon getting all of my cabling done. Looks pretty good. Just waiting on CPU and ssd now
