Unhappy FX5200 & Mandrake9.1

I have had no success in starting Xwindows with linux drivers from nvidia.com

Could someone please explain to me what this means:
"If you see anything in the X log file like "(EE)
NVIDIA(0): Failed to initialize the NVIDIA kernel module!" then
there is most likely a problem with the NVIDIA kernel module.
First, you should verify that if you installed from rpm that
the rpm was built specifically for the kernel you are using."

This is my error message but I'm not sure what kernel they are talking about. I downloaded a nvidia kernel file from rpmseek.com which had the word Mandrake next to it.

Any help appreciated.

Hmmm.. I managed to resolve the problem by following the directions here:

http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...ticle&artid=30

Most of which I had already done.
Second times the charm, it appears.
