Didn't see any threads on here about it, but this game has potential.
TL-DR - This is like Minecraft + Halo + Terraria + ??? Very interesting concept http://www.starforge.com |

Looks kind of neat. Basically it takes the concept of minecraft and make it look prettier and add an extra game mode. The page doesn't load very well right now, but I'm kind of wondering about how they will handle servers. If it's a Free to play game then I wonder if they will allow other people to host a game. If not then it breaks all of the fun parts about minecraft.

Ever since they got some attention on Reddit and other sites recently, their website and servers are crazy slow. The only way to get the pre-alpha at a decent speed is BT.
I played earlier this afternoon and I really like the concept. Hope the devs follow through with this one and give it some polish. And F2P? They could make some serious $ off of this, especially if they allow you to run your own server. |

I downloaded this and gave it a quick glance. This game is a lot more rough than the video makes it out to be. Obviously this is their very first release so it's a proof of concept. It's probably worth keeping this one in mind if you just want to try it out. Obviously now would be the best time to try to get in on the game if you liked the concept and wanted to contribute.
For those who just want to play around I would probably suggest not worrying about downloading this release. Give them another 6 months and it will probably be more interesting. |

It looks nice, but F2P always bothers me. I don't like F2P games they always have downsides and usually it's because you need to "pay to win" or the developer makes no money. And a minecraft/terraria like game that did something like limiting specific essential materials would really suck.
I hope they meant that this alpha version is F2P and the game itself will be a normal buy with no microtransaction BS built in.
