Dell Latitude E6500, Quadro NVS 160M, 302.17 drivers, Fedora Rawhide x86_64
I'm seeing a 100% reproducible hard lockup (time to hold the power button down) when starting the X server if my kernel is built with gcc 4.7 (as recently shipped in Fedora). Backleveling to gcc 4.6.3 and rebuilding the same exact kernel and then recompiling nvidia.ko results in a working system. Known issue? If not, I'll go ahead and gather up all the usual diagnostic stuff and followup. |

Fedora 17 also has gcc 4.7, I'm not aware of such issue that could be related to the compiler at this time.

I have tested 302.17 for a week on F17 x86_64 with no issues.

Yeah, I was afraid of that. I'd not be surprised if it's triggered by something oddball in my kernel .config that isn't in the Fedora stock .config. This is going to be a joy to debug, I'm sure.
