Hello! I intend to purchase a grafic card to use with my PIII 550 computer. It should have a TV-tuner and also tv-out function. Tv-out should be composite and not s-vhs since my TV doesnt handle that.
And ofcourse the card (including tv-tuner) should work well with linux. I looked through the site and geforce4 mx seems to be a nice card for me. However I'm not sure if it fulfils my demans above? Thanks. |

Some cards do have a builtin tvtuner but I'm not sure how well those work on linux. There's a project called rivatv at http://rivatv.sf.net that is working on tvin and tvtuner support but I never tried it. (don't have tvin or a tvtuner) Perhaps a normal tvtuner card (using a brooktree chipset) is still the best option.
