Default 302.17 - openGL games can't run in resolution different than desktop's one

I have

Code:
00:12.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation C67 [GeForce 7000M / nForce 610M] (rev a2)
I'm on 32-bit Arch Linux. After upgrading drivers to 302.17 OpenGL games went crazy.

Xonotic can't run in resolution other than desktop's one - 1280x800
Unreal2004 when set to res lower than desktop, plays in small screen in the center of monitor
Urban Terror works in the same way as UT2004.


Any thoughts?

For now, you can configure a MetaMode with the scaling options you want. For example, if your display device is DFP-0, you could use the MetaMode "DFP-0: nvidia-auto-select { ViewPortIn=1280x800 }" We're working on making this easier / more automatic for future releases.

So Dear Nvidia

You confirm, that in recent nvidia driver such a problem exists? And you are on the way to fix it, right? I know, you have spent a lot of time and energy to bring better and enhanced Xandr support for Linux, so what we have here is like "rocky road" to final implementation?

Aaron - are you sure string is correct? I have applied your instructions, games are still in the middle of the screen

Aaron's line is an *example*, nothing more. You need to write a MetaMode according to what exactly it is you want. The documentation explains how ViewPortIn and ViewPortOut work.

Okay, I have tried:

After reading documentation, to be precise, chapter about ViewPortIn. And maybe I'm idiot, but I can't get it working :-(
