Don't forget Doom III (and upcoming Doom III engine based titles)!

Forget the Doom 3 benches.

If you really want me to go off and explain EXACTLY how anyone who pays any attention whatsoever to those is an idiot, be my guest.

No contest between those two cards anymore, get the 9600 Pro and game happy.

Hehe..

Considering Half-Life II.. the 9600 Pro even runs circles around the 5900U 256MB when comes to the DX9 render-path..

so I would say.. the 9600Pro no doubt.

(this comes from a nvidiot who is waiting to get his 9800Pro).

Radeons don't put up with an OC'ed AGP bus, and I need a $120-$175 card that at least has SOME DX9 functionality... so I'm getting an XFX 5600U FC for $160... I'm "nevermind"-ing the current HL2 soap opera, which I believe, but can't put at the forefront of my decision... I won't mind having to kick to FX12 when needed... I just want better AF/AA perf than my GF3, my AIW8500DV and my long-since-gone GF4, and I'm sure that there will be at least SOME improvements in the detonator drivers over the next few months...

It would in fact be difficult for them to continue to get worse...
