Faced a bug with Nvidia drivers 304.32.
When I want to do a window screenshot capture using alt+printscreen, the generated file is corrupted. I got this in my .xsession-errors log : ** (gnome-screenshot:27677): WARNING **: Unable to use GNOME Shell's builtin screenshot interface, resorting to fallback X11. Error: Le fichier image « /home/fred/.cache/gnome-screenshot/scr--1328043383.png » ne contient pas de données (gnome-screenshot:27677): Gdk-CRITICAL **: gdk_pixbuf_get_from_surface: assertion `width > 0 && height > 0' failed (gnome-screenshot:27677): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_window_resize: assertion `width > 0' failed ** (gnome-screenshot:27677): CRITICAL **: Unable to capture a screenshot of any window First error : no datas in file. Any idea ? I filed a bug on archlinux bugtracker, see here : https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/31087 And it seems to be a 304.32 version bug. Last edited by fredbezies; 10-03-12 at 12:29 AM. |

I can confirm this bug with driver version 304.22.
It works when making a screenshot of of the whole screen using only the print key.

The resulting screenshot from ALT+PRTSCN is garbled. Fullscreen work OK as Lemmiwinks mentioned. |

It seems to depend on the X11 version. I am still running X.Org X Server 1.5.2, and there are no problems concerning gnome screenshot and 304.32 at all.
