Default XServer 1.13.0 RC 4 + 304.37: Consistent immediate crashes with Firefox & Thunderbird

The XServer will immediately crash when I try to open either Firefox or Thunderbird (not observed yet with other apps).

It is still possible to open their profile managers before crashing with a chosen profile, though.

I have already posted this as bug on the Xorg butracker (along with the appropriate files), but since it does not occur with nouveau it appears to be an Nvidia bug.

I can confirm the problem here, using a GTX 560 Ti with fully patched Ubuntu Quantal.

My usual desktop environments (Unity, KDE...) will crash at login with the 1.13/304.37 combo... but XFCE works well enough for me to get the desktop and recreate the crash with the specific apps (firefox and thunderbird).
