If I met the person who did this, I would personally beat the living sh!t out of them. Id also make sure to break their hands\fingers so they couldnt type anymore... maybe a couple .22 rounds to the shins\knee caps for good measure.

If anyone finds these guys, I hope (seriously) that they are beat senseless by the people who find them, fined for millions of dollars (in damages to Valve and the game market), put in jail for a few years, and get plenty o prison love while they are there.

I sincerely hope that these dumb asses are cought and get the above treatment.

I just ordered a 9800 Pro less than a week ago for HL2, hoping it would come out this year. If Valve does anything more to improve the graphics, I'm gonna be really pissed.

Someone else hacked their servers but thats a poor excuse. Ultimately they are responsible and bound by the license agreement just like if someone else license the source engine and leaked it. Same deal. Theres cutting edge technology in the physics engine and you can be sure Havok is pissed off about it. Of course Half Life 2 will be done in time but It might not be released at the appropriate time because they might be stuck in litigation.

I agree with Cap'n. This punk, whoever he/she is, has just helped to bring about a delay in a game most of us are very interested in. All of us who were looking forward to this game have a right to be upset with them.

I'll just make my usual 1) 2) 3) comment, so

1) I'm gutted

2) That's a serious dent in ATI's plans for sure.
3) After all these rumours, i still don't believe that it was created by Valve so as to delay the game but now i'd like to see them catching those hackers to be fully convinced (which should happen soon).
4) Right now, i've got a bit of space between my hands. I'd love to have the necks of the people responsible for this in there...
