Default BIOS Upgrade question

I have a MSI Z77-GD65A motherboard.

I would like to upgrade to latest bios which now has support for my k90 keyboard (was using old logitech to get into BIOS)

Now, my question is, I have a sweet OC setup running, i2500k@4.7GHz...and I think I have the settings saved it to a profile, if I upgrade to the latest bios version, will my OC profile be erased over too? I am a lazy bum to .....copy all settings to paper.

Try it and find out, I would think it would still be there myself. otherwise why have it if you can't update bios without saving your overclock.

well turns out it didn't and had to fiddle again with settings to get it to o/c to 4.7GHz@1.3v core!

20 hrs on prime95 as well with no issues

temps low 60s celcius at burn in mode with corsair H100 cooling!

..gotta save it to paper!

On my overclocks Thats what I do just before update write it down. Alot of stuff is on auto though. except voltage cpu memory and dram timing sometimes. on board stuff and boot sequence is obvious stuff for me. and always speed spectrum and intel speedstep disable.

When you rewrite the Bios I would'nt think it would save any profiles.Like has done been said it is best to write them down and save them some where. But if you are like me I would forget where i saved it at.
