I know, they're scarce...
But with the best 5600U's sittin around $200, if a 5800 could be found for $190-$220, it wouldn't be such a bad deal, would it?? I'm sure you could call an FX5800 at that price@ ultra speeds a "good performer"... or a "decent card for the money"... ![]() EDITED BITS: added what's in bold to clarify a little...

I would avoid it, If for no other reason than the 128bit memory pipeline. I didnt mind the leaf blower as much as some. It only activates when the 3d pipeline's are activated. by then your speakers should be louder than the Superchar errr leaf blower ![]()

If your wanting an Nvidia card, I would go for the 5900 non-ultra for a good price. or consider going ATI. I am a NV fan and own a FX5900(Waiting on Det 50's
) But ATI seems like a real good choice right now![]()

5800 reg.'s don't have leaf blowers...
Put an XFX 5600U rev. 2 @ 199+ tax next to a 5800 @ 210... which one is more appealing? I'm not thinking ATI. I'm thinking nvidia. I have my reasons. ![]()

newegg had a few, but they went quick... it was 2 different brands, one an abit, the other an MSI I think... I could be wrong though...
There was like 10 5800's for sale on ebay a couple weeks ago for around this price, and they went quick too... There's bound to be a couple more to surface... And I know that 5900's are coming down in price as well, but I'd really like a little bit of time with an nv30... just a little... ![]()

I have an XFX 5600U @ 450/850 right now... and other cards... but like I said, I wanna play with 5800 for a while... so I suppose I'm one of the very few who want anything to do with this card, though I'm sure if there were more around, the 5800 would be goin like hotcakes @ decent prices right about now...
