Ran command #rpm -qa |grep kernel
kernel-pcmcia-cs-3.1.31-13
kernel-2.4.20-6
kernel-2.4.20-20.9

I didn't run this command earlier.

according to that command, you still do not have a kernel source rpm installed.

get this file: kernel-source for i386 , install it with:

rpm -ivh kernel-source*.rpm

Then try your nvidia-installer again.
