Post LEARN HOW GPUS ACCELERATE INNOVATION AT SUPERCOMPUTING CONFERENCE

The annual Supercomputing (SC12) conference ' the world's biggest supercomputing trade show '' kicks off next Monday in Salt Lake City, and we'll be there, unveiling a host of breakthroughs made possible by accelerated computing on GPUs.

If you'll be there, we'll have much for you to see, learn and experience at the NVIDIA booth (#2217). If you can't, we'll be webcasting some of the best content so you can stay in the know.

Here's a glimpse of what's in store:

GPU Technology Theater ' Latest Science Breakthroughs

Our booth is hosting the GPU Technology Theater, featuring presentations every half hour from a range of leading scientists and developers who are innovating with GPU accelerators. Here are some highlights you won't want to miss:
  • Buddy Bland, Oak Ridge National Laboratory
'Titan: ORNL's New Computer System for Science'
  • Bill Dally, NVIDIA
'Technical Challenges on the Road to Exascale'
  • Jack Dongarra, University of Tennessee
'MAGMA ' a New Generation of Linear Algebra Libraries for GPU and Multicore Architectures'
  • Ray Grout, National Renewable Energy Laboratory
'Preparing S3D for Titan from a Domain Xcientists Perspective'
  • Wen-mei Hwu, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
'Accelerating Science and Engineering with Kepler GPUs in Blue Waters'
  • Satoshi Matsuoka, Tokyo Institute of Technology
    'Beyond Tsubame2.0'
  • Felice Pantaleo, CERN
'Real-time Triggering Using GPUs in High Energy Physics'
  • William Tang, Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory
'Recent Progress on 'Path to Exascale' Computational Challenges in Fusion Energy Sciences'
Can't make it to SC12? No problem. You can still check out these must-see talks via live web broadcast on the NVIDIA SC12 event page ' and interact with speakers using real-time chat. The full theater schedule and webcast are available here.

Steve Scott Keynote ' The Evolution of Accelerated Computing

The GPU continues to be a disruptive technology, driving the steady evolution of the computing industry, and enabling new and better insights.

Recognizing this, SC12 organizers invited Tesla CTO Steve Scott to deliver a keynote on the 'Evolution of GPU Accelerated Computing.' He's speaking on Thursday, Nov. 15, at 9:15 am ' in Ballroom-EFGH.

Steve will discuss significant milestones in GPU architecture and programming models. He'll cover several key concepts that demonstrate why advances in GPU-accelerated computing performance and power efficiency will continue to outpace CPUs ' a critical component in high-performance computing (HPC).

Hands-on Accelerated Computing Developer Sessions

At SC12, we're hosting developer workshops on Monday, Nov. 12, that will provide detailed, real-world guidance and best practices to get the most of GPU acceleration on current and new Kepler GPUs.

Led by the NVIDIA development technology team, these sessions will provide everything needed to accelerate science and engineering codes:

ā?¢ Getting Started with CUDA ' 2:00pm ' 3:30pm | Register here
ā?¢ Accelerating Your Applications with the Kepler GPU Accelerators ' 4:00 ' 6:00pm | Register here

These sessions are free for show attendees, but require advanced registration. They will be held at a classroom adjacent to the convention center, so RSVP now to reserve your seat.

And Much Moreā?¦.

Make sure to stop by the NVIDIA booth throughout the week for demos of the new Kepler GPU accelerators in action in full 3D ' and see for yourself the impact it can have on accelerating your application and results.

And if you can't join us in Salt Lake City, join us virtually by attending our GPU Technology Theater via the web.
