In reply to what to remove from the kernel for 2.6.
I'm still using framebuffer compiled in, all the compiled in fonts for fb, riva as module (not used tho), agpgart as module, DRI not built at all.
Config for my last build on the bk19 patch.

It really does suck you can't get the driver to work recbo. The speed / smoother operation of the 2.6 kernel is a very nice improvement for the slightly slow 2d issues with the nvidia driver on my machine.

I fully agree with the stability comment. I've had my system up longest so far on this latest build for 7 days.. but that was a long stretch since I often boot XP on this one for gaming (BF1942.. sigh). During those 7 days I tortured the system with updates, Q3 mods, dvds etc. Its solid. Wish I had a longer run for it, but I'm confident it would run until my power failed.. california.
