Default bootlogo doesn't work

Greetings

I've a problem under DebianSarge with the Framebuffer.
When i compile my kernel with option bootuplogo it doesn't work, the screen will be black but X starts.

I'm using the kernel 2.6.8 on an Elitegroupboard with a sis chipset and a AMD Athlon cpu XP 1700+
My Graphiccard is a Geforce 2 GTS

In my lilo.conf i allready wrote vga=791

Default Re: bootlogo doesn't work
