Default XFree86.0.log doesn't recognize mi graphic card

I' using nvidia latest drivers.
Watching the log file, i read that xfree does not recognize mi chipset...

(--) PCI:*(1:0:0) NVidia unknown chipset (0x0253) rev 163, Mem @ 0xe4000000/24,

From your log, it knows what it is. Its done with information stored in the chip, version numbers, etc.

Does X load properly or are you just noting an odd line in the log? Early in the X startup cycle what card chipset it is won't be known, until it get the driver running to identify it.
