Not many games I think look better than it even though its a moddified quake engine.
My 9800XT is just fine thanks, it's the engine...Quake 3? come on that's sooooo old now. I won't even install RTCW because it looks old. With Deus Ex 2 and Half-Life 2 and Doom 3 on the way...why would I want to play a game that looks like it should have come out 3 or 4 years ago? That's what I'm getting at! I gave my MOHAA copy away to some kid who wanted it...the game sucked so much I didn't even want to play it anymore.

LOL- enjoy waiting for HL2 and DOOMIII while we play and enjoy one of the best games out. I would think someone with an XT would want one of the best games out right now to enjoy on it. Hehe guess not because of all things its the quake engine. Your a funny one.

BTW-Did you even try it...atleast the demo? If not your a real dummy for wasting my time. If you did and didnt like it well then to each his own.

That is kinda funny.

Some people put together gaming systems to play games and others..............................well who knows. I see a lot of people with hotshot systems in forums with like 5000 posts (in a relatively short period of time) and I wonder when do they use their gaming systems to actually play games.

one of the best games out? haha...another MOHAA game you mean! I don't know how the hell it won best of show. The screenshots alone make it look like MOHAA...and I don't know how MOHAA won best of show also. Tron 2.0 is one of the greatest games I've ever paid for. Unreal 2's utter crap, UT2003 is alright...play it online. Undying is another great game, but now it looks old, so it doesn't go on my rig, same with any Half-Life engine game and Quake III, and Shogo, and even Splinter Cell! No Max Payne either....trying to keep this system with new games that I haven't played a million times to boredom. And I do have the demo, just can't install it...my CD drive won't read the disc. oh well...probably not missing much anyways.

EDIT: copied the installation file off the CD and now about to try the game out...I'll tell you what I think when I get back.

Dude, sometimes that magic "fun factor" can make up for a bit of a "dated" engine. (I happen to still like the Q3 engine and think that it looks pretty good. )

alright I played it and it's not too much like MOHAA. It seems like a step up. I'll play the demo a bit more...died. lol

EDIT: It seems to run smoother than MOHAA...looks like this is what they wanted MOHAA to be. Smooth at 1600X1200 with 4XAA and 16XAF...nice!

Dummy, see...perfect example why you should give some things a try before looking the other way. Now I bet you cant get it out of your head.

And I almost at the end I can feel it. The Russian missions are the craziest thing I have seen in a game yet. I didnt want it to end.

does anyone remember what the strings in the config file are? I'm trying to configure it to maximum quality. liek where it says ati_fsaa_sample "1" should that be 4 for 4 samples? and the AF also, should that be 16 instead of 0, or 1??

This is pathetic...

1. IQ set to Quality
2. Trilinear filtering enabled

pseudo trilinear output:

God damn man, that blows

8xAF on my old 4400 in MOHAA made things REALLY sharp, although it slowed down quite a bit... are you sure its even enabled? I never trust ingame settings, I always set them in the drivers.

EDIT: Doh, I dont know why I thought you were talking about anisotropic filtering
