Default Any posibility to get a textmode selector for GeForce4 cards?

I would like to know if there is any posibility to get a textmode switcher utility from nvidia. As their X driver is not compatible with framebuffer and in fact VESA framebuffer is really slow I would like to get a text mode switch utility ('ala' SVGATextMode) that gives you high resolution text modes. It should be trivial (compared with XFree, OpenGL, etc) so pleeeeeeaaaase just give a developer a day or two to patch SVGATextMode or develop a new utility.
