Have to reinstall drivers with each boot / "no screens found"

Hi all,

I think I may have a unique one here.

System info:
Mandrake 9.1, ASUS K7S6A mobo, 1.7GHz Athlon, GeForce FX5200 chipset on an ASUS V9520 series board.

I have to reinstall the Nvidia drivers after every reboot. After an install, and until the machine reboots, the drivers work brilliantly no matter how many times I start and stop X. However, if I reboot and attempt startx, it fails and gives me the following (partial from my xfree86.0.log

Try both insmod and modprobe before you startx on a fresh reboot (going to runlevel 3, not 5).
