SuSE 9.0 and nVidia 4496
I am newbie at Linux (SuSE 9.0 as you may have guessed) and I am having trouble when trying to install the nVidia 4496 driver. I get a message that the kernel header files are not installed.
I downloaded the k_athlon-2.4.21-144.i586.rpm and k_athlon-2.4.21-144.src.rpm from ftp.suse.com and tryed to install them using the "rpm -i k_athl.. .rmp" command. Although I got no error messages (infact I got a kernel update from 2.4.21-99 to 2.4.21-144) the directory /usr/src/linux where the kernel source was supposed to be was not created.
I contacted SuSE but all they told was that the kernel source files are not included in the personal edition and that I can download them from their ftp. OK done that, but after that how am I supposed to install those source files?
Thank you for your time!

You need to look for kernel-source-2.4.21.SuSE-144.i586.rpm not the k_athlon-2.4.21-144.src.rpm
