Question Benq 241w 24" Widescreen Monitor

So I'm thinking about updating my old Sony 24" widescreen CRT with a new 24" widescreen LCD display. I've been looking at the Benq 24" 241W with the latest 1:1 firmware patch. Anyone here have an experience with this monitor?

In particular, I'm interested in how it displays non-native resolutions both on the desktop and while gaming, say a resolution of 1600x1000 which is in keeping with the 16:10 scaling of the native 1920x1200 resolution. Anyone?

Well, after 7 years with this monitor its time to retire it.
Reason? Well, its not that the monitor is dead...in fact its as clear as the day I bought it, but its dated technology and I know it. Time for a 27" G-Sync monitor.
