Question Best Graphics of 2003?

Since this year in games is pratically over, what is your pick for the best graphics in a game for 2003?

Me, I think I'm gonna go with Max Payne 2, sure it didn't have all the snazzy special effects and such, but it had very well done texture work, and the models looked pretty good also.

I would have picked Need for Speed Underground, for the real time reflections on the cars, and nice special effects, but a lack of 1600x1200 resolution, and no AA with all the options maxed makes the game look jaggirific

#1. Call of Duty by far, the water in this game looks like you can drink it.. My second nod goes to Star Trek Elite Force 2 this game I think has some of the cleanest graphics I have ever seen.

How about some screenies?

MP2, just cos they did it right, they didnt just use the latest gadget, they made what they had better. Waaaaaay better textures and higher poly counts.. dashed with some brilliant lighting, throw in a little bit of physics and bingo.

Silent Hill 3 with high Texture Resolutions.

Max Payne 2 is also a very nice looking Dx8 game. The ragdoll effects are awesome.

Even though it didn't have anything groundbreaking, I thought Jedi Academy had some clean graphics in it.

I'll add my opinions after Christmas when I have a new videocard and I can run my games with FSAA+AF once again

Man, don't forget XIII. It's non-traditional, but most excellent anyways. (I'm really getting charmed by this game! )

I'd say Max Payne 2. This game looks absolutely fantastic and runs good even on low-end systems.

My next votes would go to C&C Generals, Star Wars KotOR, Silent Hill 3 and Prince of Persia TSoT.

Silent Hill 3 (most matured and impressive use of shaders, reaching up and sometimes surpassing HL2 effectiveness of shader usage)

Uru (most beautiful graphics ever?)
