Unreal 2 had some of the nicest looking cutscenes I've ever seen. Not to mention the in-game graphics were excellent.

I'd say DX:IW. The performence isn't the best, but the shadows are very nice, and with delay after delay of Doom 3 it looks like it may be the only game with a unified lighting system for a very long time. Also the normal mapping really helps the characters models out, they look more detailed then some 5,000+ polygon models I've seen.

Though Max Payne 2 is pretty damn impressive for it's performence. It's a little disapointing that reflections don't work on DX8 cards (sheesh, even Unreal 1 had mirrored surfaces!), but aside from that it looks pretty damn good. And it's nice that the main character no longer looks like he's constantly constipated like he was in the first one

Yeah, I don't expect many people to agree with me, but the main complaints people have about the graphics are also evident in Doom 3 (low res textures, low number of on-screen polygons, etc.). And some of the environments look damn pretty with all the lighting effects. Though I'm suprised at some other people's nominations...but I won't flame them until they flame me

I enjoyed seeing: Max Payne 2, CoD, C&C Generals, XIII (Love the Comic Book thing for some reason...lol) and MotoGP 2. Moto GP 2 is a very cool racing game and one that doesn't slow down at all even with the shaders it uses. Excellent use of shaders and performance optimizations for a DX9 freaking game! I love this damn game...lol.

Asheron's Call 2. It's going to take HL2 and/or D3 to surpass that game's graphics.
