Question Which OS?

My Leadtek Motherboard popped several caps and I had to send it back for RMA. I got an inexpensive Shuttle AN35N Ultra for the duration.

Here at home I have several systems running XP but mine is the last hold out of win9x. After throwing in the new motherboad my system wants to hang in call of duty. I am planning on reinstalling the OS.

What do you guys recomend. I have

98
98se
ME
XP Pro corp
2003 corp

will XP drivers work in 2003 - does it do ok in games?

98se/XP corp in a dual-boot. Install 98se on one partition, then install XP on another.

There are just too many advantages to the set-up I've found, it's the only way to fly if you can.

Not to interested in a dual boot. When I sit down I have a 4 way KVM switch with
1 XP box sharing internet, files and printers
2 Mandrake 9.2 850 P3 256 meg and a voodoo 3 3000
3 XP test rig with a tnt2 ultra 850 P3 256 meg
4 ?? was ME 2400+ nforce 2 400 radeon 8500 512 meg ddr 128 bit

It was the last 9x hold out in the house My Wife and 3 sons all run XP
I guess I could put 9X on my test rig for any old games, they would probably run fine on a tnt2 uktra 850 anyway.

XP Pro corp

all games are now being written for XP, so you might as well go with the flow. XP works fine for me - I play UT, UT2k3, Unreal2, Unreal2 XMP, Halo, NFS, and many different console emulators.

...dunno about Home but WinXP Pro has been good to me. I dun get crashes as i did with win9X products, not saying I don't now but, i still do get the occasional one....like once every 1 month or so...no biggie. I backup

XP Home and Pro perform exactly the same for games and most other programs. The only thing Pro has is Domain network access, remote access, multi-CPU support. Those features often are not needed in a home network environment
