SavagePaladin, I have never played the leak nor displayed any interest in it whatsoever. But once you do, don't forget that joke I told you. OK, maybe it won't keep you laughing for hours on end, but I'm pretty sure it isn't that bad. You browse the UT2003 forums, check there. Best Buys have sold some copies today, depending on your location. Tomorow, more than likely a majority of the stores should stock them.

The strange thing is that I called BestBuy twice yesterday, once around noon, the second time later in the afternoon. The first time I got someone who sounded quite a bit younger, and the person went, looked, came back, told me they didn't have it yet, but were due to get some in on a truck later in the day. When I called back an older person answered. This person said that they hadn't got any in yet, but that their first shipment was due in on Monday (a shipment of 40 copies), and that they had an additional 20 due in on Tuesday..

Guess I'll call again this morning sometime (I have to see what time they open too). Maybe the younger guy was right, or maybe he just meant they were due a shipment of software (not looking at specific titles to see if the UT2003 was in that), and the older guy actually took the time to look at their computer's list of titles due in on each shipment. I really want this game, but I guess if it's not in yet, it's okay, because I have two lawnmowers to work on anyhow.

Do new shipments arrive on Sundays? Because Infogrames are shooting for a Monday release at the VERY latest. If they do arrive on Sundays, well, it's about time. . . which is tomorow.

I don't know. All I do know is that not one store within 20 miles of my house that I've checked with has anything scheduled before Tuesday. Even the ones that said Monday shipments are saying Tuesday shelves. I have a feeling that Monday latest just became a 1 Oct release in most places. But I have heard of a few people that claim to have bought it recently. Just not me.

Sadly I do, but its hard to pay attention to them for obvious reasons

At any rate, I do expect some FPS loss, I just don't know how significant it'll be.
I only have 256 megs o RAM here

As to the DS thing, I think 1.11 has all international versions.

speaking of, NOLF 2 wins my vote. I love good SP, and NOLF was my favorite.
I'm with you on this vote man. I believe Single Player to be an all around much more enjoyable and immersive experience than Multi Player, and the original No One Lives Forever was fantastic! UT2003 is without a doubt the best looking game in the world right now, but No One Lives Forever 2 is going to be so good. Of course, Unreal 2 will be better, however, not a 2002 game :P

Morrowind i think deserves GOTY as well. It's the only game I've purchased this year. I have played other games like GTA3 and JK2, but I prefer Morrowind to them. I would like to say UT2003 but I haven't purchased that yet so I can't recommend it.

it might come out in December, but i doubt it. even if it does make the holiday season, i suspect it will be in need to patching

Every game is in need of patching at launch, wouldn't surprise me. But I doubt all that much...

We'll see

Should be an awesome game. The media blackout is a bit tiring.

Battlefield 1942 for multiplayer hands down. Don't know about single player because I haven't played Mafia or NOLF2 yet.
