I have a plan to purchase the DELL workstation for computing and graphic work..
But I wonder Quadro FX3000 can work well with RedHat 9.0 and Enterprise 3.0. According to the release notes of the latest driver, FX3000 is not supported officially up to now. I read some messages regarding FX3000 with Linux. I have not much experiences in using Linux and graphic card.... Could you please tell me more information from experienced users? Is it OK to choose Quadro FX300 and RedHat Linux in the same system? or not? |

Well, I use a Quadro FX 3000 on my trusty gentoo Linux box, it works fine with the current Nvidia stable drivers (4496), the performance is unbelievable (I used a QuadroDCC before)...
I'm certain that there should be no problem with RedHat, just follow Nvidia's instructions should do the trick. BTW, if you intend to buy a 3000G, you need to use the 4620 beta drivers to get the control panel.
