Installing the latest Nvidia installer on mandrake 9.2

Hi !
I have tried to install the Nvidia driver on my Mandrake 9.2 system and
i get the reply that i have the wrong kernel source but as far as i know
it is the right one. or the path to it is not correct ! and i tried to supply
the path but the same answer keep staring me in the face ! :-(

Has anybody any tips on how to make this work ?
The machine is a 2.2 Ghz AMD Fujitsu 600

same problem as you. I have a Quadro4 750 XGL and can only use the generic nv driver at present. The graphics card is a dual head with both digital and analog outputs. I can only seem to get analog output in X11 but both when using just a console.

I am starting to think that we are not actually getting to the correct kernel source.

Wich version of the kernel to you have? (uname -r)

just installed the compiled version and a source update for 2.4.22-21mdk (boy this is pretty difficult if you havn't joined the mandrake club). and will now try and build the driver.

ran NVIDIA

it now found and built the driver. Once made the appropriate changes it appears to work. However, it still is only working on the analog output of the driver and not the digital. Any help here?

Hi !

it is 2.4.22-10mdk named sam as the source pakage
