Unhappy NVIDIA 3123 driver on SuSE 8.0 Ok , but slow to start X

Hi there... I just installed 3123 version of NVIDIA kernel e GLX driver. It runs quite fine, but I noticed that X server take almost 30 seconds to start (in the while I see a complete black screen and I can't have the control of the system).

One more issue: when I type "depmod -a", system gets "depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.18-4GB/kernel/drivers/video/NVdriver" ... but it actually works the same.
Have I to worry about that error ? (and what symbol(s) is/are not resolved ?)

Tnx in adv

Wow, you got it working?

I'm on the same setup and I can't get it to go.

Whats your /sbin/lsmod output after getting into X?

Default

this is compile-related problem

Did you get the correct module version for your kernel?

Else you can try getting the sources tgz, recompile them yourself

if it still doesn't work, recompile your kernel also

the unresolved symbols will be gone then
