He says the "core team" isn't represenative of the XFree86 developers. What the heck is the "core team," anyway?

XFree86 seems to have gone through some rough times lateley. Also, there are competing windowing systems coming out and gaining some buzz, such as FreeDesktop. Heck, even Richard Stallman himself calls XFree86 a "trap." Everyone I know of personally who has tried to program for it hates it.

Edit: Hmm, I wonder if FreeDesktop will run nVidia's binary X driver
