Default Poor Glx and no Graphical boot in Fedora Core 1

I´ve recently downloaded the new Nvidia´s drivers version 1.0.5328, and after installation i found out that the GLX support was terrible; i also found out that the graphical boot wasn´t there anymore, that is: - when booting the only thing i can see is a black screen until the greeting screen apears. That is very odd.
What´s is the matter with this new driver... should we stick with the old one??? or are any workarounds???
thanks!!!

I found that to be the case with the 53.28 drivers with Fedora C1 also. So I went back to the 46.20 Beta's. Personally I found them the be the best available at the moment.
