What chipset does your mainboard have and what kernel version and distro are you running?
I attached the files. Also attached a dmesg output (with the crash of nvidia module).
I have a motherboard with VIA chipset, my NVidia card is a GeForce4 MX 440 8x, my kernel version is 2.4.23 and my distribution is an LFS based.

This is a known problem with 1.0-5328, the installer available from http://www.sh.nu/download/nvidia/linux-2.4/ works around it.

Your problem having seen your XF86Config-4 and your xf86config.0.log. seems to be that you have your default depth set to 8 bits. The nvidia driver needs it to be 16 or 24.

I also tried it with 24 bit depth - It also crash this is a work around try. By the way why is 8 bit mode is illegal? (since what is I want to use my video in that depth, with dualhead?)

Default Tried with only 24 bit depth mode

I tried to edit my XF86Config to force the card only with 24 bit depth mode resolution. Error still the same. Datas attached as above (XF86Config -new, XFree86.0.log, last lines from dmesg)

Lets start at the beggining.
Re-compile your kernel make sure you build in MTRR.
But do not include AGPGART.
Now try build driver 4496
change the line in your XF86Config-4
Option "NvAgp" "1" #if unset it will default to 3 which is agpgart then nvagp

It is a little bit better - XFree doest not crash however under the new configuration, zapping fails to display TV screen (I only see a blue screen without the TV programme). (The TV programme shows up correctly on nv driver)
Can you suggest how this can be resolved?

All I can suggest now is you add this to your XF86Config-4
Code:
Load "v4l"
If you atre still having problems with your tv capture card try running it from console, look in the man to see if there is a verbsose or debug mode. post any errors you may get.
Also try zapping as root you may have a simple permissions problem.

Great - zapping also works. Now I don't have to use the old driver there is same percent functioning in nvidia's one.

There is only one thing missing - Can you explain me, how can I enable second head and how can I enable cloning to the TV?
(At same time of course, I tried it but that don't worked for me last time i tried it)

And: Is there any trick after made the second head and clone to work, to migrate to v5328 of driver, and 2.6.0 kernel?

Thanks, Hijaszu

Add this to your XF86Config-4
Code:
  Option "TwinView" "1"
    Option "SecondMonitorHorizSync" "30-50"
    Option "SecondMonitorVertRefresh" "60"
    Option "MetaModes" "800x600, 800x600"
    Option "TVStandard" "PAL-B"
    Option "TwinViewOrientation" "Clone"
Note these are the config values for Spain read Nvidia README for correct value for your geografical location.

Unhappy

After enabling clone to tv when I switch back to character console the character table is messed up. There is also some color problem.
The TV screen is very vibrating (I hope this is the correct word).

Also there is a lot of trash in the display. (Graphical bugs)
