My next rig will be an AMD setup, no question about it, but my p4 isn't anything to sneeze at. I think an AMD with a new SLI motherboard and two nv50s when they are released sounds like it might be a nice combo

See sig for relevant 3d benchmarks.

The score is almost double what I was getting w/my 9800pro I know there are alot better scores out there but I was rather happy w/what I squeezed out of my new 6800 GT, I did alot of comparisons and I saw alot of x800xt's w/lower scores and better cpu's. Bottom line for me is the 6800 looks great performs great and is great card. Props to NVidia thanks

Heh, I didn't say I was never going AMD. In about year or so when PCI-e has matured, prices stabilized etc I will probably redo the entire rig. Hopefully 64 bit will be more fully implemented and game developers will be trying to directly optimize for it. I want more motherboards that allow you to lock the PCI/AGP bus. I think now just Asus has one. Abit was SUPPOSED to. I am hoping AMD breaks down and makes more 1mb L2 cache versions of some of these chips they are putting out on 939. For me it's just a matter of time.

My next rig I build is gonna be AMD 64, PCI-e and raided WD Raptors.

EDIT: *Crosses fingers*

What settings are you all using for this on your 6800 cards? High Performance, Quality, or something else?

I get 12800 on my 6800 Ultra running at 425/1200 on my FX-53 (socket 940) PC using the 61.76 drivers with the quality settings. I also got DirectX 9.0c installed on my Windows XP Pro system.

Does that sound about right? I am using the 61.76 drivers since I need to use those to go with the same Stereo 3D driver version. Are the 61.77 or 65.XX drivers faster?

I use quality driver settings and leave AA/AF to application controlled. Which means 3dmark03 should be applying 4xAF by default.
