Default Got my Antec P160

Looks very nice indeed and the silver plastic goes well with my LCD As soon as i got it i replced the Antec fan with these Akasa fasn and are pretty loud actuly (120mm 1700rpm) I have them fitted and they are noticably more loader then 3x 2000rpm & 2x 2600rpm fans but these things cool better.

XP2500+ @ 2.2GHz 1.65v Volcano 7+ @ 3000rpms
PSU 36C, now 30C
CPU 48C, now 40C (max load is about the same)
MB 36C, now 38C

The case is also pretty damn light, my old case being an Antec 1080AMG.

I just got the same case and was using an 1080 as well. I'm still using the antec fan that came with it and still dont have an intake fan. Those are some nice temps ur getting. It was my sisters b-day last week and all here friends were drooling over the case. they were saying it really sick and is one of those bill gates computers (lol. newbs).

lmao.

I am sticking to the Antec fan, the AKASA fans are too loud for me!! Might use them again if i can get some reduction tape or something.

I'm quite happy with my 1080AMG.. besides the weight.. and i am tempted for 120mm fan support.

This performance one series looks promising, i might look into them when i get sick of this case.

I've never actually heard a 120mm fan.. are they really too loud at 1700rpm?? or is just the akasa's.. cause the antec's spin faster(i think, well not the smartfan's). Though compared to a 92mm tornado.. i'm sure it's not that bad.. just a little bit more of a lower pitch drone type sound, which isn't that annoying IMO. I was planning on getting 3100rpm 120mm sunon's... might be a bit overkill, but if i can get them down to 1500rpm, i think that should be quiet enough.. eh, i've still got quite a while before i buy a new case anyway.. decisions, decisions.

The Antec fan that comes with the case runs at 1.6w 1000rpm's and it's still noticable, it might be that i am more sensitive to the sound then other people. I can't really couldn't stand Antecs 3x 2600rpm 80mm fans and the 2x 120mm 1700rpm seem to make the same amount of noise. But thats me i have never the Tornado fans and don't want to because i would take a hammer to the thing!. Heck i think the 5000rpm 70x15mm CPU fans are noisy so you get what i am on about

Yeah i heard they work really well. Kinda regret not choosing one of them over my areogate 2 really.. it just doesn't seem to function all that well IMO.

How far do those knobs stick out? Are they short enough that the bezel door on the antec/chieftec/chenming cases won't interfere? If so I might be interesting in buying that silver one off ya.
