Nvidia GeForce FX Go5200 on WXGA on Redhat 9.0
though the name is "theguru" its what I am not !!!! . I have a problem and need your help guys. I am totally new to linux and have no clues asto whatsoever.
I have a Toshiba m35-s3592 Intel Centrino 1.4 Ghz laptop and I managed to install RedHat 9.0 on it. The problem is the display. My monitor is a WXGA one and the supported resolution is 1280*800. I never got the XServer to start which I managed to after much ado. I downloaded the NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-5328-pkg1.run and did a
"sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-5328-pkg1.run ". I still have only 800*600 resolution.
What should I do to get the coveted 1280*800 resolution.
Thanks in advance.

I have got the same problem with my toshiba! I wrote to nVidia support and sent them my log file - but I haven't got answer yet
If I use default drivers shipped with fedora - I have got 1024x800 (and 1280x960 on second CRT) but when I usu oryginal drivers from nVidia - I have got only 800x600
