yes I guess 5fps can mean the difference between playable and nonplayable... but I am HUGE on graphics 5-10fps is definetely worth it for me!

Your doing AWESOME with your GFFX 5200 Ultra
I tried playing on my setup with 1 gig of ram and graphics are all messed up. If I did screenshot you all would have good laugh
Its still a blast to play tho, Im definitly getting this game. I have an AXP 2600+ Barton and an Albatron GFFX 5900PV (400c/850m) about ready to install, so hopefully game will play pretty well at 1024 x 768 with everything pretty much on high (I hope)

I grabbed this from a shacknews forum topic (http://www.shacknews.com/ja.zz?id=9244961):
"Make Far Cry look even better.
Maybe this is old news, I dont know...I'm to tired to know either way. Figured some might be interested:
Go into C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Crytek\Far Cry Demo\Levels\Fort
or whatever drive it's on. now make a copy of the level.pak file.
Next open the non-copy in Winzip and extract the files to a temp folder. Open up mission_fort.xml in Word or whatever.
Scroll down till you see this line
Delete the _OnlySky part.
Now save that. Repack those files in a zip and rename back to level.pak
Replace in your directory.
Now EVERYTHING will be reflected in the water. Your own body, trees, rocks, whatever. Everything will be seen in the reflections. It's really amazing.
This is a copy and paste I found somewhere. I havent done it myself, because I dont have the demo yet. I've seen screens, looks groovy, and supposedly it doesnt completely murder your framerate. Supposedly. I did see screens, so its most likely legit.

\load_game AnySaveGame: obviously, loads save game AnySaveGame from disk
\start_frame_display: I'm not even gonna try to explain what's going on there, lots of cool renderer stats
\start_frame_profiling: remove stats shown with start_frame_display
\w_recoil_max_degree 0: for you ladies out there, disables the recoil of all the guns
\w_accuracy_decay_speed 0: another one for the mouse-handicapped, gun accuracy remains steady while firing

Plays pretty good on the most side, smooth then stutters like hell which shange as it clears it's self up then stutters again. It's as if i am out of memory or something but i have 1GB so thats not the case.

Also \g_maxfps, I thought that was pretty funny so I set mine to 1000 fps knowing my vidcard can not do it but won't be limited in any circumstances. I suggest ya'll do the same as you don't wanna be another Firing Squad review and forget to do it just like they had in CoD.
\Meminfo 1 works too as does \r_stats 1. Haven't been to interested in the others yet.
