Default Can someone TwinView me please?

Hi,

Well i've been trying for days trying to get twinview to work on my machine and i have given up i'm sorry to say.
I have pasted my current XF86Config file in the hope that some on can add on the relevant bits in the right place for me as i have continually got it wrong. All of the examples are different that i have looked at so its all very confusing. My second monitor is a compaq V700 (Horiz Sync 50-85, Vert Sync 50-160) which is connected to the analogue port on my FX5700, the main screen is as included in the file.

Thanks if anyone would be wiling to asist.

Thumbs down Re: Can someone TwinView me please?

Thanks for the effort on that one but still not joy.

Anyone else please? I'll still keep searching the net for a solution too.

TIA

Mike,

I think your problem is in your driver section of your XF86Config file. It needs to have some variation of the following Options added. Of course, your metamodes might need to change and some of those other things might be a little off of what you want, but it should get you started.

Option "TwinView"
Option "SecondMonitorHorisSync" "50-85"
Option "SecondMonitorVertRefresh" "50-160"
Option "TwinViewOrientation" "RightOf"
Option "MetaModes" "1280x1024,1280x1024; 1024x768,1024x768"
Option "ConnectedMonitor" "DFP,CRT"
