a7v8x-mx agp (km400)

Hello,

I recently bought a FX5200 however I cannot get AGP to work correctly with it on my Asus A7V8X-MX (via KM400) motherboard.

When I set NvAGP=1 I get this error
(WW) NVIDIA(0): Failed to verify AGP usage
and the drivers defaults to no AGP.

When I set NvAGP=3 I usually get a blank screen or a screen a random ascii characters.

I have tried this on both kernel 2.4.24 and 2.6.0. I compile AGPGART as modules. I tried modprobing different options like NVreg_EnableAGPSBA=1 (which I saw in a link for the KT400 chipset) but nothing works!

Has anyone been able to get AGP working correctly with this hardware combination?

The driver patches from Zander (www.minion.de) may be usable for you. Consider trying these driver patches on your 2.4 kernel as well as 2.6.
