Hi,
I have a toshiba notebook with fx go5600 chipset. Following Configuration works for tv-out: Section "Device" Identifier "Card0" Driver "nvidia" VendorName "All" BoardName "All" Option "NoLogo" Option "CursorShadow" "on" Option "TwinView" Option "TwinViewOrientation" "Clone" Option "MetaModes" "1400x1050,NULL;640x480,640x480" Option "SecondMonitorHorizSync" "30-50" Option "SecondMonitorVertRefresh" "60" Option "ConnectedMonitor" "DFP, TV" Option "TVStandard" "PAL-B" Option "TVOutFormat" "Composite" EndSection the problem is, that I always get a resolution of 640x480 on my display, even if my tv isn't plugged in. when I comment out the "MetaModes"-Line, I get 1400x1050 on my Display, and nothing on my TV (this is ok for normal work). but I dont want to always change my XF86Config to watch TV. Somebody know how to switch between metamodes? or has anybody a better solution for tvout? btw: why do the 4496 drivers work, but the 5328 dont? |

change the metamodes line to following did it:
Option "MetaModes" "1400x1050,1400x1050;640x480,640x480" dont know why, but it works. change between modes works with control+alt+"+" or "-" from num block. |
