Can someone at least tell me which NVIDIA download file works in my case (see subj line)?

I posted (last night) a question about how to turn rendering on, but no response yet.

The driver I'm using now is the one that was on the RHL9 install disk. I have a Dell Dimension PIII @ 1Ghz with this GeForce2 MX card and don't know which Linux driver to download and install.

I suggest using this release, which is not the newest but supports your hardware, and which I know installs on RH9 smoothly. Be sure to read the text readme from this page covering most of the issues people have while installing. You may need to install the kernel-source package for your kernel before using this driver. Download the .run file and follow install instructions in the readme.

Here is the newest driver release that will also work with your hardware, but I haven't personally used it on RH9 (tho I'm running this one on my system).

How do you install the kernel-source package?

This is my current problem now...it is referencing this when I'm trying to install either .run file.

install the correct kernel source for your distro, if you installed from CD then they will likely be there.
Check docs that came with YOUR linux setup as this is a common subject
