Default fx 5700 ultra with 5336 has slow fps -- is this normal?

When I play AA under linux (on a asus mainboard, using gentoo p4-optimized) I only get 10 fps...

my pc:
p4 2.2 ghz
geforce fx 5700 ultra
256mb ram

I don't know what is wrong? any ideas?

Have a look in /var/log/XFree86.0.log or post it here. Also glxinfo may give some info.

of your graphics card?
