The machine was doing nothing interactive at the time: the only thing taking CPU time was my non-GL screensaver. I'm posting this here because the nvidia driver is in the trace, so I doubt the PCI kernel guys would even look at it.

The problem doesn't lie with the Linux PCI subsystem; search the forum for pci_find_subsys().
