you would be surprised at how many idiots at the main website are nitpicking about the satanic symbols used in the game. its a game, and an enjoyable one at that.

I agree, it's not like they don't put warning's on the box. Maybe they need to put warning's on game demo downloads too.

I think game content need's too be compared to music content, a reflection of the designers creativity, art and free speech. The symbols are part of the atmosphere and story (if any). I really don't think their intention was to sadistically convert the God fearing folk.

Meh, if you are going to have 'satanic' themes in a game you need a succubus or two. Give me wicked Purgatori looking girls trying to kick my arse. Add please....

I must say though,It's amusing to me when people harp on things like 'satanic' themes in an FPS fantasy game while Priests are pounding little kids in the rear and Shiite extremists are sticking or driving bombs into everything in LIFE.

More often than not it's the twisted and/or extremist 'good' guys that are fouling up the world, not 'evil' music and 'satanic' video games.

My 2 1/2 cents..

well... it is not my kinda game. But I applaude the level of imagination in the demo. I like the visuals, sound effects and ideas used for characters/enemies. It is nice to see stuff like PKs demo and Shellshock Nam 67` and other games coming with a harder edge, as apposed to the kiddie fop porridgey sh*te we have seen building up over the last 4 years or so.

The picture on the home page of the site is pretty disturbing. You get use to it a couple times after seeing it. I agree with the above statement that it’s just a game. I can wait for Doom 3 to come out. Does that mean I can't wait for the anti-christ to come either

I agree before you say anything I got a little carried away on my statement but I bet its remembered better.

You know what people seem to miss is the fact that the character you play is "the good guy".

He's the one getting rid of all the satanic losers, same with Doom, Serious Sam, the Quakes, etc.

Now if the game had you portrayed as some Hell Hound rife with pentagrams running around killing babies and burning down churches...yeah, that would be over the top IMO. Otherwise, you're the good guy that is supposed to save the day with his white horse and what not...no different than the old Westerns really, just more detailed and graphic.

I liked it. It didnt lock up once, and graphics were great

Very Hexen/Heretic like, but better.

Anyone see the bags of stakes? If you shoot them with your stake they go flying off like fireworks. Very cool! After I killed badguys and collected souls, I fireworked the whole damn level

BTW, "Sign the pact" is actually very benign. Note that they did not say "Sign the pact with the devil and surrender your soul to him for all eternity"

Since your character is from Heaven I take it to mean "Sign the pact with God" as you put yourself at risk to get rid of all they bad devil-type guys.

but did either of you play Wolfenstein 3D or RtCW? Both of those games are filled with swastikas which are not much "better" than pentagrams. Nazism and Satanism are in the same waste of a boat too. I guess my point is still that in any of those games "you" were not playing the role of Satan, a demon, a member of the SS or Hitler himself.
