Default Skipping sound

I have installed an fx 5200 AGP and installed the latest nvidia drivers. Acceleration appears to be running fine and the nvidia splash screen comes up. When I try UT2003 the sound skips and studders.

I'm running mandrake 9.2 with kernel 2.6 and kde 3.2, my soundcard is a santacruz. This card replaced an ATI 8500dv that did not have the sound issue.

Any ideas on what to look for?

Thanks,

Ray

You need to get the lastest openal HERE, install it and make a symlink from your new libopenal.so.0 (should be in /usr/local/lib/) to your ut2003/system directory.
