Im new to linux and I dont know how to go into the proper mode to install my new nvidia drivers. I havnt changed anything but added a new modeLine for my monitor. I am Running Rehat Linux 9 (Shrike) On the Toshiba P25 s609 laptop. I can use the gui kde and gnome. any help would be appreciated.

ctrl-alt-f1
login as root init 3 install drivers update XF86Config per README init 5
