heres another prob : currently i am on my windows os back cause my linux distro hangs when i wonna go into x, i can only go into the console, so i uninstalled the driver, but now i only can get into the console mode!

so you managed to install the nvidia driver? and if yes, be sure to edit /etc/X11/XF86Config the way the readme of the drivers suggest

hmm cant configure the config file under the console mode, if you know how, plz say.....

try pico <configfile> or emacs <configfile> or vi <configfile>. if you got the first editor installed i think it would be easiest for you... the other ones are a little more difficult but work well too

I reinstalled manrake 9.2 cause i couldnt get back to normal gui mode, so does someone know a way to get the driver working on mandrake 9.2
