Well there is a definite trend going. Namely that so far nobody thinks the ATI part will be priced higher than the NV part.

Ill probably buy one when its gets down to $350 for a retail box package. Then again if the performance is really amazing, I may not be able to restrain myself...

This is a silly poll, you should ask either which will be more expensive, or what would you pay for them... at the moment from what I have heard there is no way I would pay more for the NV40 than a r420, however at the moment I think the NV card will be more expensive... that leaves me confused with regard to your question as you asked 2 extremely different questions.

I am hedging my bets that both the NV and ATI card will cost a minor loss of a renal filter and also an optical sensing organ place in sockets. There is however no way one will cost less than the other. Both will be priced either $499 or a bit less.

NV40 w 128mb & r420 w 128mb = $399

Im sure that when the NV40 and R420 are released they will have 256mb memory, then later release a 512mb version. Both cards will be released at $500 I think.
