I think it will be around $500 for either card,I think I will wait awhile when prices come down before I get one of them and I got to see witch one performs the best.

as expensive as posible as being "the fastest" is very very important no matter NOISELEVEL or cost it seems.

If I were from NV or ATI I'd look at this thread and say to myself, Hey these guy's are expecting to pay $500.00 for our card. Let's do it.

Yeah well if they charge 500, they will be missing out on a lot of peeps that is for sure, be among them. Heck 300 is a lot for a Gcard if you ask me.

*shrug*
Voted NV 500 / Ati 400, just felt "right"

Don't really care, since I stopped being an "early adopter" (at least computerwise) some time ago.
Nowadays, I wouldn't pay more then 300 max.
Currently I'm planning to build a gaming/working system with a Rad9800pro, and only because neither 9700pro nor 9800 are available anymore.

My current sys features a 9700pro, and I simply don't see the need for anything "faster" 'till HL2, DoomIII and (Hit me!) DNF show up.

XXXXXX over benchmark scores that just show who cheats better is for small children.

Cheers,
Mac

If Nvidia makes yet more bad choices this time around as far as direct X and PS go, I will be going with Ati.

I am anxious to see Nvidia's 'new' AA and how they handle PS 2.0/3.0 and driver quality. I could give a rats ass about which one beats the other by 10fps. I want good/smooth frame rates, and beautiful bleeding eye images. Whoever has that, will be my next generation purchase.

I doubt I will stretch over 499 for a card. I may buy one that is more towards the 'mainstream' user if its under 300.
