Ti 4200 to 5900XT upgrade...

I'm using the system curently in my sig with the 5328 drivers "nvagp 1". My kernel version is 2.4.22-10mdk.

My card current card is a 4x card rather than an 8x. I am about to talk myself into getting the msi 5900xt.

Will I need to re install the driver or will it work as is? No big deal either way, but I would like to know before I make the card switch.

Also, are there any other obstacles that will turn up when I make the switch?

i think you'll need to reinstall the driver to make it work just because it is a different card

It is odd though since it is the same driver for both cards..

If the currently installed driver has support for the 5900xt, there is no need to reinstall the driver.
