I'm using the system curently in my sig with the 5328 drivers "nvagp 1". My kernel version is 2.4.22-10mdk.
My card current card is a 4x card rather than an 8x. I am about to talk myself into getting the msi 5900xt. Will I need to re install the driver or will it work as is? No big deal either way, but I would like to know before I make the card switch. Also, are there any other obstacles that will turn up when I make the switch? Thanks. i think you'll need to reinstall the driver to make it work just because it is a different card

Ok, thanks for the reply... I thought as much...
It is odd though since it is the same driver for both cards.. |

If the currently installed driver has support for the 5900xt, there is no need to reinstall the driver.

That's what I was hoping to hear.
![]() Thanks Zander. Anyone else out there already make this same upgrade? Any "gotcha's" to expect? |
