I've installed the kernel 2.6.2 on my linux Mandrake

Y'know.. I've been following posts regarding the onboard LAN issues some people including myself have with Linux..and noticed that most seem to be related to Mandrake 9.2. I also installed Mandrake 9.2 and have the same problem. I cannot get the onboard LAN to work at all. I tried updated the kernel to the latest one (2.6.3..). I tried the forcedeth option.. using drakconf and trying to config it.. but still says ethernet device not found.

I had about enough with this problem.. can anyone with an asus a7n8x-e deluxe motherboard recommend another distro that is easy to deal with, updated to the latest kernel in the present ISO and has NO issues with the onboard LAN with this mobo. By the way.. I use a santa cruz sound card rather than the soundstorm.. think that makes a different with the nforce driver installation? thanks..

As blueworm said you don't need nvnet driver since forcedeth is included in 2.6.x kernel.
